VIRTUAL BOOTH / WIZIQ FAQ
Your live virtual booth, Quick overview:
Your unique login information:
Actual steps to log in (please follow carefully):
We'll update this FAQ as we get any questions from exhibitors where clarification is needed.
- We're using a new, not-yet-released version of WizIQ that is terrific.
- Your virtual booth/room is open now for you to enter and practice. The environment is pretty intuitive, but it's brand new to us as well so please poke around and let us know if you need any help. We'll try and get a video recorded with basic help.
- Each of you has a session room which will last from now until the day after the fair. While you can go in and out of your virtual room, and you can log in and out of the WizIQ account we give you below, if you receive any message that says you are "ENDING THE SESSION" do NOT do that and just close the browser window. "Ending the session" will require getting you a new room (and public links) and that would be complicated and hard to do.
- We recommend uploading a pdf or ppt file to have in the main share area. Look for the "add content" link.
- Only one person can log in with one account at a time in the WizIQ platform. If two users use the same credentials to log in at the same time, one of them will be logged out immediately. If you have more than one staffer joining your booth, have them join as a guest and then click on the people icon to give them fuller permissions.
- When you are logged in and attendees come in, you'll need to enable their audio and video capability. Look for the "people" icon at the top right and then click on the audio and video buttons.
- Sharing content: Look for the "new" link and drop-down at the top left of the main presentation area. Upload "content" (pdf / ppt / etc.). Wait for the content to load and process. At the bottom of the content screen, you should see the word "preview" and a share icon (sideways triangle with large dots). Click on the share icon and your content should be available to your attendees.

Actual steps to log in (please follow carefully):
- Click on the virtual booth link above.
- When the page comes up with "Global Education Fair Room XX" - do not click launch. Instead, look for the menu item to "Login or Sign Up." Click the "LOG IN" tab. Use the login email id and password above.
- The page will be blank. Look for the three-line menu at the top left, then click on "live classes." Then click the Launch button.
- You will then be in your virtual booth. It takes a minute or so to load the room.
- When you leave your virtual room, then want to return, be sure to click the left-menu to show "live classes" again. You can also see if you are logged in (and how) when the left side-bar opens.
- QUESTION: "Thanks for these detailed instructions! I am afraid I have a question. I followed your directions and was able to access my virtual booth. I then closed the window of the booth and the tab for the Global Education Fair. The next time I wanted to go into it again, I clicked on the link to my virtual booth (it didn’t give me the option to sign in, so I guess I was still signed in), and then “Live Classes” from the drop down menu in the upper left corner. But then, I only got the response that there are “no live classes available for listing,” instead of the window for my virtual booth immediately opening. Now I’m not sure what to do – I hope it didn’t mess it up! Any guidance you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!" ANSWER: "Look in that same sidebar, down at the bottom, and make sure you're still logged in... let me know." FINAL: "Ahhh, got it! Thanks, it’s working for me!"
- IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY LOG INTO YOUR ROOM AS AN ATTENDEE: If you accidentally log into your room as an attendee, not using the login information above, you may be confused trying to enter the room correctly. First, exit the room. Then click on your virtual booth link again, and look for the menu (three horizontal bars), click on it, and at the bottom of the left side-bar you should see your current login and have the ability to log out. Once you do so, then log in again with the email ID and password above. Then go back to the three-bar menu and choose "live classes" and you should be able to launch correctly.
- MORE QUESTIONS:
- - The time zone for the Fair is EDT which means that 2 pm listed will be 5 pm PST, right?
No. 2pm EDT is 11am PDT. You went the wrong way! :)
- Will the content I load today still be there when I log in tomorrow, or will I have to re-load it?
I think so. Can't say for sure, but it did last time.
- How do I give my associate a link to the room to log in as a guest - so we can practice?
Has to use the same one. Then one of you will come in through the regular attendee link, and you would give him/her audio and video permissions.
- Where do we find the direct link for the room to promote in social media?
Please DO NOT promote any link other than the site (www.globaledfair.org) or registration link (https://gef2018attend.eventbrite.com/) on social media.
