Who can be an exhibitor?
Individual educators can promote specific projects. Organizations and companies can promote their work and programs as well to educators during the Global Education Fair. Ideally, participating organizations will have programs, products, and services that tie directly to the development of global competencies in students and teachers. Presenting organizations should demonstrate how they can help bring the world to classrooms and schools. Educators from non-profit schools are also welcome to publicize specific projects and initiatives.
How does a virtual fair work?
Presenting organizations, companies, and consultants are listed in the "exhibit hall" with logos, descriptions, and contact information on the fair main page. You can also produce a short video overview of your project or organization. These listings will go up on April 30th. On Friday, May 4th, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm US-EDT the virtual fair online "booths" will go live, allowing attendees to click through a link on your listing and have a virtual chat with you or your representative(s) in their web browser. Additionally, attendees can request information or leave feedback for presenters via an online form and this information will be sent to participating organizations after the event.
What does it cost to exhibit?
How do we sign up?
The sign-up page, for attendees and exhibitors, is at https://gef2018exhibit.eventbrite.com/.
How do we submit our official exhibitor information?
Once you have signed up, we still will need the official exhibitor information for your organization or project. Please use the form here.
How long should our introductory video be?
There is no time limit to your video, but we recommend it be under 10 minutes. Because the video will stay on the site after the actual live fair, you may want to include enough detail in your video that it can stand alone as an introduction to your organization or project.
Can we use an existing video for our video introduction?
Yes, absolutely. We'll need to be able to embed your video into our fair listing, so providing us with a link to it from a standard platform (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) is most helpful.
What if we need more advice on making a video?

How do we submit a video for our video introduction?
If you're creating a video for the first time, or a custom video for the fair, easiest is to upload it to YouTube and provide us with the link. If that won't work for you for some reason, email steve@learningrevolution.com and we'll figure it out together.
How does the "live chat" during the fair work?
Each exhibitor at the fair will be given a custom virtual room within which to chat with fair attendees who want more information, much like hosting a booth or table at a physical event. This live portion of the fair will take place Friday, May 4th, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm US-EDT. Attendees can click through into the virtual room, which has audio, video, whiteboard, and screen-sharing. The platform for the Global Ed Fair is WizIQ, which is simple and intuitive, and which will be easy for attendees and exhibitors. More information will be sent to exhibitors after they sign up.
Do we need to have someone available to host our live booth/chat during the whole event?
It would be great to have someone available for the live chat for the full exhibit hours (Friday, May 4th, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm US-EDT), but it is not required. You can indicate if you will not be available live, or if you will not be available the whole three hours, when you submit your official exhibitor information.
How many people are you expecting to have attend the fair?
This is a new event, so we don't have a good estimate. We believe this is an easy and compelling way for educators and others to find out about organizations and projects in the global education arena.
How do we help publicize the event?
Please use the hashtag #globaled18 on social media, and distribute the flyers at bit.ly/springglobaledfairinfo.
